Top 5 Tips: How AI Can Enhance Your Pharma Launch
Last week I attended "Forward Fest" an innovation summit, the buzzing conversations around AI were hard to miss. Every time I listen to these discussions, I ask myself how this can be used in Pharmaceutical launches to benefit patients, the launch team and the industry.
Here's 5 key tips to help you integrate ChatGPT into your launch.
- Brainstorm Creatively with AI
AI can be an excellent partner to stimulate creativity and innovation. While it won't replace your critical thinking or expertise, AI can offer fresh perspectives.
Example: Ask ChatGPT for messaging ideas, such as: "What three messages could be used to promote a cardiac drug X that has improved efficacy and three-month dosing?"
- Gain AI Insight into Customer Pain Points
Speaking directly to patients isn't always feasible, but AI can sift through vast amounts of online data to summarise key issues your customers face.
Example: Ask ChatGPT, “What top 10 issues do most Type 2 diabetics complain about that cannot be solved with medicine?”
- Formulate Thoughtful AI Questions
Effective questioning elicits insightful responses from AI. Being specific and providing context can lead to more valuable insights. It’s all about the prompts!
Example: Challenge ChatGPT with follow-up questions like, “What services would most benefit these people?”
- Ensure AI Accuracy
It's vital to remember that AI doesn't always tell the truth. Always cross-reference and verify the data.
Example: Query ChatGPT with “What are the best Type 2 diabetes global statistics?” and follow up with, “What are your reference sources?” and “Are these correct?”
- Use AI Safely
AI learns from interactions, so it's important to avoid using brand names, dates, or industry-sensitive information to maintain confidentiality.
Example: The generic examples above for cardiac or diabetes show how broad you can be whilst still learning.
Final Thoughts
It worth noting that ChatGPT-3.5 is free but I personally use ChatGPT-4 as it has a larger learning data base and provides faster and more accurate responses.
