Senior leadership is taking on a very different role in a supportive agile launch phase. When the team has proven the trust of leadership the launch team is more likely to have “thought and decision” independence.
The company’s senior leadership role is now to help solve any “blockages” such as financial constraints or bureaucracy that slows down the agile cross function ability of the launch team. When proactive, the senior leadership can also take on an “ASK ME” mentality where there is an open dialogue so future issues are resolved before they appear. An example of this may be an “ASK” for additional study design possibilities or internal communication support to c-suite levels.
The overall goal is open and consistent senior leadership communication on both positive results, strategy and importantly on issues and problems. This creates trust and ensures an agile, transparent, and rapid launch environment.
